He has decided to skip the meet due to a calf injury.”He pulled out with a calf injury, is recovering well, but not in time for Karlsruhe,” said his manager Jos Hermens in an e-mail message to RRW Assistant Editor, Bob Ramsak earlier today.Bekele has not withdrawn from the 99th Millrose Games, scheduled for Friday, Feb. 3 in New York City where he will face Bernard Lagat in the Wanamaker mile. This race will be Bekeles first-ever mile race, indoors or out.
