The Exeter star will make a short visit to the top Belgian meet before flying out to Melbourne on Monday where she is representing Team England.”Training has gone well and I would like to have one more race before going to Australia,” said Pavey. She added: “There are still four weeks to go but I am already looking forward to the Commonwealth Games.”We had not originally planned any indoor races this season but as there are no suitable outdoor races at the moment I feel that the race in Gent will give us a good indication of my race fitness with one month to go.”Pavey will contest the 5000m in the Commonwealth Games where she is likely to face strong opposition from Kenyas Olympic silver medallist Isabella Ochichi and possibly World Marathon record holder Paula Radcliffe. The West Country athlete was the fastest non-African runner in the world last year with a time of 14:40.71.
