Een en ander blijkt nu ook uit onderstaand bericht in The Daily Times Pakistan.

Athletics agents appeal Kenyan dismissals

NAIROBI: Athletics Kenya (AK) said Friday they were willing to meet seven of 19 sports agents axed from the list of approved representatives for Kenyan athletes in 2006 to hear appeals against their blacklisting. “We have received their appeals,” AK secretary David Okeyo said. “We have agreed to give them the opportunity to argue out their cases before the board on January 10. They have to show why they want to work with us again.” Earlier this month, the association announced that only 12 of the 31 registered foreign managers would be retained following complaints that they had interfered in the runners training and performance. Okeyo said Dutchman Jos Hermans and American Tom Ratcliffe, the two most prominent foreign agents who were blacklisted despite being in control of number of elite Kenyan runners, were among the seven and would attend the meeting.
